Missions Ministry
The purpose of our Missions Ministry team is to bring awareness of the needs in our community, our country, and the world, Our goal is to improve the lives of vulnerable people and those who have experienced disasters. Our Missions Ministry Team supports and church members volunteer for the Dungeness Valley Health and Wellness Clinic, a free medical clinic here in Sequim. On the months with a fifth Sunday, a "Noisy Can" collection (named for the coins dropped into the can) is taken for a particular current need--local or elsewhere--determined by the Missions team. ("Quiet money" and checks are also gratefully received!)
Missions created and daily stocks a Little Free Pantry (LFP) on TUMC's property. We are actively recruiting more volunteers for this vital ministry, to be one of the stockers on a rotational basis, or in the storage room to take inventory and organize items.
Currently, the team is intensively studying Sequim's growing homeless situation with the goal of providing some relief for that population. Experts on the problem are invited to speak at their meetings, and some visits have been made to successful housing sites, both temporary and long-term.

UMCOR (United Methodist Committee On Relief)
Are you interested in putting your faith into action? There are opportunities to serve at the UMCOR Depot that include sorting and packing supplies to be shipped for disaster relief; being part of a community project (i.e. UMCORcampus maintenance, housing rehabilitation, or providing food for older adults).
The trip would be for 5 days and 5 nights, Sunday evening through Friday afternoon.
There are costs involved for transportation, lodging, and meals.
There is a waiting list for teams; reservations begin in January, which is why we are asking now! If you are interested,sign up in the fellowship hall or contact Jan Kreidler (missions@sequimtumc.org) by August 1st.

Lois’s Legacy
Sequim is a mecca for retirees. As we age, the need for care at home increases. Families search for skilled care providers, transportation options, medical equipment, and other services. Many seniors often do not know who to call for help.
Between 2014 and 2024, Lois’s Legacy helped fill this need as a TUMC outreach ministry. In March 2025, the Advisory Committee made the decision to change from having a staffed office to providing local senior resources through this website. As of April 2025, the office at TUMC is closed.

Tim’s Place
Tim’s Place is a respite ministry for caregivers of those living with memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease. It provides an activity program for the loved one in their care. The program is designed to give respite to caregivers while providing a safe, stimulating environment for the participants.
With a cadre of trained volunteers, Tim’s Place activities include games, art, music, pet therapy, and chair exercises, as well as a lunch catered by Shipley Center's Leo's Cafe.
The program runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church. The cost is $40 per day. Scholarships are available for those in need.
Those interested in participating are asked to contact Rhonda Heyn (see information below) to arrange a visit. Tim’s Place is not a medical program, but a social one, so participants must be able to ambulate, feed themselves, and use the restroom on their own.

Holiday Food Distribution
Working with the Sequim Food Bank and other area organizations, Trinity hosted holiday food distributions in November and December of 2023. Cars lined up well in advance of the event. Many expressed fears that the organizers would run out of food, but all who came were served.
Global Missions
Our Missions Ministry team educates and coordinates activities within our congregation that relate to the connectional mission work of the United Methodist Church. The United Methodist Church is not just one church, nor a conference full of churches. The UMC is God’s ministry to others all over the globe.
The church’s ministry reaches people who have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our ministry feeds people who are starving, rebuilds homes lost in disasters, and gives hope to children who have none. The ministry of the UMC is in action every day, changing lives in the world for good and helping others know Christ.
This mechanism provides a way that churches of all sizes can be active partners in mission around the world.

Music Ministry
Trinity Choir, Trinity United Methodist Church choir
Music is an essential component in creating an awareness of the presence of the Holy Spirit. In concert with the pastor, the Music Team plans creative ways to enhance each Sunday’s sermon message, creating a unified worship experience. In addition to our organ, piano, and growing choir (40+ before COVID), special music employing differing styles, instruments, and groups enriches our worship services.
With its excellent acoustics, our facility is a concert venue in Sequim, hosting the Peninsula Singers, Port Angeles Symphony, Grand Olympics Chorus, and others, performing in our sanctuary.

One of our congregation’s music ministries, the Trinity Choir is the adult choir that sings at Sunday morning worship.

Our purpose is to connect people to each other and to God through the gift of music.
What Do We Sing?
Our repertoire represents a wide spectrum of musical styles, with music chosen to reinforce the pastor’s message. We recognize the value of both traditional and contemporary music. We provide a venue for new composers’ works to be heard.
Join Us . . .
Membership in the choir is open to anyone of any vocal skill level and experience, with a simple audition to ensure they can stay on key. We believe members should have a high level of commitment so there is consistent musical leadership in the worship services. We welcome singers to practice for seasonal programs as well as to become long-term choir members.
Choir rehearsals start the first week of September and continue through June. We rehearse every Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.
